Samsung Series 5 3G Chromebook


The Samsung Series 5 3G is one of the first commercially models of Google Chrome OS Netbooks. The netbook will be available to US Customers in the mid of June.

The Samsung Series 5 3G Chromebook features Google Chrome OS, Intel ATOM Processor N570 1.66Ghz, 12.1″ LED (WXGA) 1280×800, 1 Mega Pixel HD webcam. 16GB, Solid State Drive (mSATA), System Memory: 2 GB, Wireless-N Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), integrated 3G (via optional Verizon Wireless subscription), Two USB 2.0, 4-in-1 memory card reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC), VGA (via optional dongle), Built-in stereo speakers and combo headphone/microphone jack.

The dimensions of the Chromebook itself are 11.6 x 8.6 x 0.8 inches and weigh around 3.3 pounds. The Chromebook has a long lasting battery that can last up to 8.5 hours in one charge and it boots in 10 seconds.

All of the user’s apps, documents and files are stored on Google’s “Cloud”. Every Chrome notebook runs millions of web apps, from games to spreadsheets to photo editors.
