Meta Keyword Tutorial For Meta Tag Development

This Meta Keyword Tutorial is a primer in the basic construct of your Website’s Meta Tags for Meta Keywords and Meta Description. We will discuss Meta Keyword html application, Meta Keyword Limit or Meta Keyword Maximum, use of, and proper development of the Meta Description. Remember that over 80% of all on-line transactions begin with a keyword search.

Choosing the right keywords is very important to your success in operating any Internet campaign. The proper use of keyword tools is a very effective way to find out potential keywords for your website. Of course any marketing idea should be put to task before investing your time, and thus, a good reliable Keyword Tool is where the process begins. One of the most popular Keyword tools is from NicheBot2. Gaining keyword intelligence and your web page keyword optimization is the sole reason for the existence of keyword tools.

The Meta tags with keyword in a search engine optimization application is done carefully and sensibly. SEO work sometimes can make sense, and sometimes not. When it comes to long tail keywords, the searcher is usually searching a group of words that may or not make sense grammatically. Yet this combination of keywords is searched for frequently enough to make it interesting, yet has very little competition on the Internet. Don’t forget to make your writing sensible enough to the human reader as well as taking care to allow the best organic search engine optimization. Overall, you need to maintain a careful balance of human readability and search engine friendly text.

Meta Keyword Limit or Meta Keyword Maximum

The Meta keyword limit has been evolving. There are still some search engines that utilize the Meta Keyword section of your Meta Tags as an important aspect towards ranking. However, Google’s Search Engine gives very little weight to your Meta keywords. Your best bet is to place only those keywords that are relevant to the web page and your desired traffic, no more, no less. If you place irrelevant keywords you may gain traffic, but also irritate your searcher and in the long run this practice will be counter-productive.

Focus your traffic and you will continually gain happy customers. Currently the total character count for your Meta Keyword Maximum should be 268-350. However, over 300 may not do any good. This number will help you in optimizing your web page without being penalized by the search engines. We generally use only 3 to 12 keywords or keyword phrases in our Meta Keyword Tags and always stay well below the recommended Meta Keyword maximum characters. Another useful hint is to start all keywords with a capital letter. An example keyword would be “Meta Keyword Limit,” not “meta keyword limit,”.

Take our advice Keyword Meta tag and keyword optimization is tantamount to a sound search engine strategy. As you may know the Meta Description Tag is the text that displays when a search engine provides its results. This Meta Description Tag is clearly your opening sales tool. The more relevant it is to the needs of the searcher, the more likely a hit will occur from it. The Meta Description should be constructed using a Keyword Meta Optimization Search Engine Strategy.

Keyword Meta Optimization Search Engine Strategy (KMOSES) is when you place your main keyword or keyword phrase at the beginning of your Meta description. Then spatter that keyword with secondary keywords throughout the text. It is important that you develop your keyword rich Meta Description Tag with only a Meta Keyword text maximum of 130 – 150 characters. Your Meta Description then appears crisp and to the point when the results come up from the user search. You will also not have any trailing “…” at the end of your description. Do a search and see how some Meta descriptions appear, cut and paste them in a word processing program and do a word count. Are they crisp, cohesive and to the point, or are they intermingled with just a bunch of keywords that don’t make any sense. Does it provide you with a good sense of what the Website is about?

Meta keyword html can be thought of in several ways. First, Meta keyword html could be the way the Tags are structured in your html. This will be specific to the version of html that is written and beyond the scope of this article. The other is that the Meta keyword html are the keywords that you place between the “quotation” marks after the content=, and quite frankly anything that is written in that tag for search engine placement. To correctly apply this html, you should just insert your keywords like these Long Tail Keywords for Meta Keyword Tags shown below only with W3C 4.01 transitional html.

The correct method is best described as: “Keyword comma space Keyword comma space Keyword”

OR: literally: “Keyword, Keyword, Keyword”

OR: one version of Meta Keyword html Example: <!– Without the html outer –>

meta name=”keywords” content=”Meta Keyword Optimization Checklist, Meta Tag and Keyword Optimization, Meta Keyword Optimization, Meta Keyword Maximum”

Most, but not all browsers allow you to look at the source code. You should become accustomed to viewing html anyway. It is not complicated code; just think of html as another way to set up or format your document to appear correctly on the web page. With Internet Explorer7 or IE7, visit a website, then go to “View” at the top of your browser, then click on SOURCE, it should open up in Notepad.

We have reviewed the ways in which Meta keyword optimization is accomplished. Please remember some important points such as Keyword stuffing is a practice of the past. Do not perform keyword stuffing in your Meta Keyword list, Meta Description Keyword or literally for any Meta optimization search engine strategy. It is also not a good idea to perform keyword stuffing in your web content. Clearly you have a job to do, but the best way to think of it is this; would you be comfortable in asking a Google representative to review your webpage content prior to its launch?

Choosing the right keywords and the right keyword tools is very important to your success in operating an Internet Campaign. Use strategies we recommend, and your success will be accomplished with a white hat! And remember, over 80% of all on-line transactions begin with a keyword search.

Best Features of HTML 5

Work on HTML 5 started in 2004 and after 5 years we are still no where close to the final draft. Ian Hickson, the co-editor of HTML 5 said that we might have to wait till 2022 for the final draft. But still, even at this stage of its development, HTML has a lot to offer. We have listed the 5 most exciting features of the language:

1. Video Element

You can embed a video on a page with the same amount of ease as you could embed an image with the help of HTML 5 codes. And what makes it better is that you can manipulate videos and built-in video controls and of course you don’t need to rely on third-party codes to embed a video.

2. Canvas

Canvas in simple terms can be described as the drawable region in HTML code with height and width attributes. Dynamically generated graphics is the new function HTML 5 offers. It can be used to draw graphics, make photo compositions, or do simple (or complicated) animations. All of this again can be done without having to rely on an external plug-in.

3. Geo-Location

The geo-location API lets you share your location with trusted web sites. The details of your location are available to JavaScript on the page. Sources of location information included Global-Positioning System (GPS) and network signals such as Wifi, Bluetooth, IP address etc. This feature can only be sued if the user gives the application permission to use this information.

4. Application Caches

This feature allows you to store web apps (like e-mails) and access it without having to connect with the internet. Google gears (helps you access Gmail offline) is an implementation of HTML 5 codes for Applications Cache.

5. Hyper-Threading for Web browsers

With this feature, separate background threads can be used for processing without affecting the performance of a webpage. This is extremely useful for applications with rely on heavy scripts to perform such functions

The above mentioned features of HTML 5 (and the rest) have compatibility issues with some browsers (IE specifically). HTML 5 is still in its development phase and certain features haven’t been fully defined. Nevertheless, it is still very useful with the extra features it offers as compared to its previous features.

There is much more to come in HTML 5 but for now these are certain features that will definitely help designers and developers.

C++ Tutorial 1, Introduction to C++

Introduction to C++

Why Learn C++?

C++ may at first seem like a boring, confusing programming language that you can only program command prompt applications with. Well, that is what it is like in the beginning. And you are going to need to learn the basics like this with any programming language. As you get better and progress in your C++ skills, you will begin to learn that you can start making some cool applications easier than you thought you could. The main reason to learn C++ though, is that it teaches all the basics of programming and you will learn concepts that will be used in other types of programming. Many other programming languages are like C++ or use C++. For example, PHP, a powerful web development language uses almost the same syntaxes as C++. DirectX, a common game development graphics library primarily uses C++.

Setting up C++

Ill assume that most people are not going to want to spend the money for a compiler, thats fine, there are many great free compilers. I use Dev-C++ because it has some nice features and is fast, and best of all, its FREE!

You can download it here.Download it and install it, this step is pretty easy. During instillation, select all the deafult values during instillation.

Create a New Project:

Go to the top menu: File -> New -> Source File, or just press Ctrl+N

You should now have a text document. Then, write the following text in the document:

using namespace std;

int main()

Tells the compiler that we are going to be using the iostream library, which includes information on things we will be using in the code.

using namespace std;

Saves time by telling the compiler that we are going to be using the ‘std::’ functions, which stands for ‘standard’.

int main()

Starts the main function, this is were the heart of the program is. I will get into what functions are later on.

Starts the main function.

HTML 5, CSS3 and Cross Browser Support

It is about time we blogged some more, it is true about getting so busy with work we forget about spreading knowledge and keeping those interested in what we do informed, we shall try to do better in 2011!!

Well I am going to write about some web development that will eventually help us designers in easier styling and basic animation using CSS. There have been many articles written about whether flash in websites will die a death and CSS will take over. It amazes us that this conversation is even raging considering CSS3 is not supported in many browsers, and IE the most used browser still (change if it you have it please!!) does not support CSS, the IE 9 new browser is better – but still building websites that are not supported with IE is dangerous to say the least.

Also flash animation provides a much better stable platform for brand animation in details CSS will never achieve, certainly not in the next 5 years. Being honest Apple should “get a grip” and support flash so certain bias developers who are “in bed” with apple stop condemning flash. Indeed android and windows based mobile technologies are supporting flash, so apple should stop there ring fencing it is a real bore.

We have to point out that we moved away from developing full flash websites several years ago as they are too bandwidth dependent, not great for SEO and generally were too interactive meaning the message of our client could be easily missed. We do however like some professional flash animation for top banners or areas where images are dominant as it really enhances a website done well.

Back to the subject!!

HTML 5 is supported in the new IE9 explorer and most other major browsers however there is still differing support for various elements of HTML5 which web developers need to understand so they do not leave web surfers or clients customers with a mess of a website.

My View of IE – Internet Explorer:

Those of us web developing for clients who’s target audience use mainly IE as their browser find the whole process annoying and frustrating. There will be a few posts about IE explorer and why people should dump it as a browser, but we are looking forward to IE 9 which is supposed to be more compliant and able to utilise CSS etc better than ever before. Those along with a much faster browser in terms of flash and frames per second – so we shall certainly test drive IE 9 and provide a detailed report probably by Prash our technology blogger!!

Microsoft and Apple are certainly dominate Companies that influence the internet, how it is accessed and used as they both provide the platforms most people use, this gives them both an advantage when it comes to which browser people use. Many people with a lower degree of knowledge of such things accept what they are given with their new PC or Mac. This gives both Microsoft who like there own direction of browsing and Apple who want everything their own way to make life difficult. I for one don’t like either Company, although when it comes to browsers Microsoft are the worse and no one should use it. Apple is a Company you either love or hate, my opinion is the latter:)

CSS3 is flash Dead?

There is a buzz right now that CSS3 will allow animation of sorts and will compete against flash (oh I can hear the Apple execs rubbing their designer gloves) to the point that some think flash days are numbered. However the fact is many browsers still do not support CSS3 certainly not those versions that need updating to which there are many! Also CSS3 will provide limited animation which will be great for certain applications (possibly) but could not replace flash animation and what is achieved by those with experience, such as the flash animation professionals out there.

I do agree that pure flash websites days are numbered (if not gone – hopefully) with many of us web developers moving away from that type of website. Using flash animation in place of images to enhance a website will provide a positive enhancement, in our view, but full flash websites are resource intensive, more complicated to use and just not necessary.

So our view is that CSS3 will never replace what flash can do, Adobe can rest easy and Apple should support flash:)

Well that’s about it I hope this article has provided some useful info

Building Your Own Website Is Easy – A Tutorial

Building a simple website is easy, even for non-IT people. If you have the following basic requirements, then you can create your own website.

Basic Requirements:

Basic knowledge of HTML

Computer set & Internet Connection

Website Design Layout or Template

Website Content

Domain Name and Web Space or Host

Let me explain to you each of the above requirements:

Basic Knowledge of HTML:

A website is composed of one or more web pages. A page layout is produced by using html codes or tags. HTML means Hyper-Text Markup Language and tags are enclosed by signs. If you have zero knowledge of html, well here is the outline of a web page:

Outline of a web page::

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN”

“” >

Here you will place the title of the page. The texts here are displayed at the topmost left of a browser or web page.

<meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=iso-8859-1″ />

<meta name=”keywords” content=”you must type here the main keywords of your content like this keyword1,keyword2,keyword3,etc. Words that are frequently used in this page content must be included here for search engine optimization.” />

<meta name=”description” content=”You must type here the summary of this page content using the page’s main keywords for search engine optimization” />

<meta name=”author” content=”Your name here” />

<meta name=”copyright” content=”The year you built your website” />

<style type=”text/css”>

This is the place for Cascading Style Sheets or known as CSS. CSS defines the styles you will use in your web page such as font color and size of the text, background image, boxes, etc. These are effected in the body but most of the style definitions affects only those areas where you use them.

Here you will implement the layout using style definitions you have made in the “style” section. Without putting anything here the page will be blank except for the title that will appear at the topmost left of the page. You will also place here the content of your website. It may be mixed of texts, images, audios and videos.

The above must be saved as a html page with extension of html or htm. Your homepage or the starting page must be named as index.html or index.htm. When you open a site like this site,, it will automatically search and open the index page.

Note: If not displayed properly, “<” must be typed as “”. Remember, html tags are enclosed by “”.

To see it with your two eyes, copy the above html codes from <html> to </html>, then open your Notepad and paste it. In the Notepad or its equivalent, Click File – Save – Type mywebpage.html or mywebpage.htm – Click All Files – Click OK. Then in the Windows Explorer or its equivalent, find the the file and open it…See the power of HTML. That’s your first web page. With those few codes, you can create your own web pages. For more basics of creating a web page, click here.

Computer set & Internet Connection:

This is a computer equipment (desktop or laptop computer) that has a modem and internet connection (Dial-up or DSL). This means that you can access or surf the web. You will be using an internet connection to upload your web page files and to browse your website in action after uploading. You may use your own computer or you may rent in internet cafe, whichever is more comfortable to you.

Website Design Layout or Template:

Website Layout Design is the graphical presentation of your site in a web page. Like in, the page layout is composed of header box, right box, left box and footer box. The design layout will be your guide where to place your content in every web page.

If you don’t have time to learn html or let’s say, you are not interested in learning html, you still have options to have your web design layout. Buy or get free web templates from the web. If you have a budget and you want to have a design based on your preference, you may hire a coder or simply buy a web template.

Website Content:

This is the meat of the website. Your website is nothing without a content. It is like a house without people and furnishings. People are looking for contents. They want something from your website.

The content is the physical presentation of the purpose of your website. It may be personal (about your personal life or life of other people), community (a forum or discussion of a group of people), free or non-profit services (a directory, educational, tutorial, freebies, etc.) or commercial (for selling or marketing products or services).

Your content may include texts, graphics, sounds, videos, programs, etc. depending on your purpose or on what you like other people or visitors to see in your site and on the available materials with you. But, putting sounds, videos or softwares make require an advanced knowledge of html and scripts.

You may source your content materials from the web, free or priced. Check our directory of freebie sites or use Google and type “free web templates”, “web templates”, “web template freebies” or other keywords that are appropriate based on your need:

Domain Names and Web Space:

Domain Name:

A domain name usually consists of two or more parts, separated by dots. This is the unique text name corresponding to the IP address of the website. Example is The rightmost label “com” is what we called the top-level domain (TLD). Other TLDs are .com, .net, .org, .biz, .ws, .tv, .info,etc… Sub-domains are the labels on the left next to TLD and are dependent on the domain to the right. “ezinearticles” is the sub-domain (second-level domain) and dependent of the “.com” domain.

Choose a descriptive name for your site to give short information to your target visitors on what your site is all about. You may use your own name too if you want to. For search engine optimization, it is advisable that you name your site with descriptive keywords. Each word must be separated by hyphen or dash like “”, “” and “”.

To have your own second-level domain name, you have to pay for registration on a yearly basis with ICANN-accredited website-registrars but you may register a name for a number of years paying the equivalent amount. TLD’s have different prices some are cheaper than others.

You may also go for free sub-domain with sites offering free hosting but it will be a third-level domain like in geocities, your website address will be or in tripod, it will be Your domain name will be depedent of geocities or tripod.

If you really want to build a website using your own tradename and would like to earn profit from it, it would be better to at least invest a little amount of money. You may check if the name you plan to give to your site is still available by using search engine and type “domain name registration” or “register domain name”.

Web Space and Hosting:

The next thing you need is the web space where you will place your registered domain name and other stuff for your site. Normally, domain names are offered with web space. If you register a domain, you will be given a free but limited web space.

Usually, a free web space is ad-supported and subject to a number of restrictions. Meaning, the hosting site will put an ad to your site without paying you and it will not allow you to do or put some stuff.

So, if you want a clean web space where you can do whatever you want “legally”, it is advisable that you lease your own web space. It is also offered on a yearly basis but you may also lease it for a number of years.

You may buy or lease domain or web space separately. You may register a domain name from one website and lease a web space from another. If you register domain name separately from web host, then you need to link the namservers from your host to your domain name. The nameservers will be given to you by your host and you need to enter this to your domain DNS (Domain Name Servers) setup.

For more paid and free domain name registrants and web hosts, use search engine and type “domain name and webhosting” or “domain name registration” or “web hosting”.

The following are the easy, simple and complete procedures to build your own website:

 1. Determine your purpose of your website.
 2. Prepare all the materials to be placed in your site as your website content.
 3. Plan the lay-out or design of your site. Get free or buy template.
 4. Create web pages. Learn our tutorial on creating your own web page or use ready-made web templates.
 5. Name your site with keywords relevant to your site content.
 6. Check the availability.
 7. Buy domain name and web space or get free web-space.
 8. Upload your web pages. You may upload your web files by web browser or by ftp. Check your with your host for instruction on how to do it.
 9. Check your website live. Check all the links if all are working fine.
 10. Submit your site to search engines and directories to inform the world that you have built your own website.

Now you can start building your own website.

Silverlight Vs Flash Vs HTML5

When it comes to custom web development, there seems to be a lot of talk between the three different platforms for video and animation. Flash has been the most used platform for streaming videos and animations but HTML5 and Silverlight are attempting to take its place. What separates these three technologies, and will one of them ultimately prevail over the others?

Everybody is familiar with Flash, especially when it comes to custom software development. It’s used on major websites such as YouTube, Hulu, and other video sites. The technology is also used on portable electronic devices and more companies are trying to support the format for their users. The fact of the matter is that Flash is deeply rooted into computer users and is used by almost all users.

As you may know, HTML is the programming code we use to create websites. You can go to any website and view source in order to read the HTML code in which it is written. HTML5 was released with new features, specifically the ability to include audio and video within the code. The addition of this feature will result in Flash no longer being necessary for multimedia, greatly impacting the market between these three mediums.

Silverlight is a plug-in designed by Microsoft that allows users to stream video, audio, and interactive content. This plug-in is designed to work with all operating systems and will also support all the major browsers out there. It doesn’t matter if you use Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer — Silverlight is made to work with all of them. Silverlight is an already-popular, growing alternative to Flash. Some notable companies already leveraging Silverlight include Netflix and Major League Baseball. Netflix’s instant streaming player and MLB’s video highlights and news clips both rely on Silverlight.

With the release of HTML5 and the growing popularity of Silverlight, many people in the tech world and Internet experts are saying that Flash will no longer be necessary. Some are going as far as saying that these two technologies will render Flash obsolete. In order to get an accurate prediction of what will happen, you really have to look at the user base.

When you think about it, Flash already exists in the core of our computer and electronic device usage. Many of us are not even aware that we are using Flash and don’t really want to deal with anything new. As for web developers, there is a huge community supporting Flash and the use of it.

This means that it will be really hard to replace Flash altogether. Consider that some of the most trafficked websites on the Internet use Flash, it will also be a big move to replace it. Of course there are some sites like YouTube and Vimeo that are adapting to technologies such as HTML5. That does show that it is being considered and in some cases accepted.

Silverlight application development will improve as it becomes more used and the user base grows. While some are saying that it may outshine HTML5, you have to understand that no tool is right for every job. It will be an option for web developers to support Silverlight but different jobs will require HTML and Flash.

HTML5 also has limitations. It cannot stream video according to the user’s bandwidth. This means that subscription sites like Netflix will have issues with HTML5. Silverlight also has weaknesses. It is designed on Expression Blend and Expression Design which many designers don’t use.

Silverlight is also browser-based and cannot be used on applications. It also will not support H.264 video codec. Of course when you talk about the limitations, you have to understand that Microsoft will be making improvements in order to keep its product up to speed with the its high profile competitors.

While HTML5 and Silverlight are exciting technologies, it’s hard to say that they will replace Flash. HTML5 and Silverlight have to be promoted and will have to persuade the majority of the population that uses Flash. This will be a tough uphill battle and may be a losing one. Both developers and users are used to Flash and use it on everything from their computers to mobile devices like Android-powered smartphones and tablets.

It may seem like this is a battle between Silverlight, Flash, and HTML5, but Silverlight and HTML5 may actually be alternate ways to deliver the same result for users. Developers looking for custom software development may find many unique uses for the new technologies but it’s really hard to say that either one will replace Flash altogether. In the end, the real benefit will be the users. As these technologies continue to compete with one another, the quality of the products delivered via these mediums will increase, providing a superior user experience.

A Web Design Tutorial For Beginners

A web design tutorial for beginners can be misleading terminology when it comes to the success of a website. In order for a website to stand a chance of succeeding, it must have a few elements that are often missing.

For instance, if you were to right-click on a few random websites and select view source code, you might be surprised to find missing elements like, correct Meta tags, missing keywords, no description of what the website page is about and sometimes a missing title.

Let’s start with Meta tags and how they function with search engines.

What is a Meta tag? Wikipedia says Meta elements provide information about a given web page, most often to help search engines categorize them correctly. They are inserted into the HTML document, but are often not directly visible to a user visiting the site.

Many believe Meta tags are not important and are not needed to help search engines find your website. Not true. When a Meta tag is correctly added to a website, it will give a search engine a better chance of indexing your website properly. It doesn’t matter what kind of website it is, it should have proper Meta tags to satisfy all search engines.

Keywords are the next important factor that help search engines properly identify your website.

Whenever a keyword is added to a website it should be accompanied by text that is related to the keyword on the pages of the website. This is SEO 101 and often overlooked when putting a website together.

Another overlooked element is the description of the content on each web page.

This is the spot where you describe what your web page is about; for instance, if the page you’re reading now were to get a title it might read like this, “A web design tutorial for beginners often falls short of showing beginning web designers what they lack when building websites. The sentence is long but it is very descriptive of how web design tutorials fall short and is related to the main keywords on the page.

Don’t forget to add the title to each page.

Believe it or not, the titles of web pages are often missing from websites. The title of this web page should be “a Web Design Tutorial For Beginners” Meta tags actually work behind a web page and can only be seen by the viewing the source or HTML code of the web page.

The actual web page should have written content on it that relates to your keywords, description and title. The goal of adding all of these elements to a web page it to get traffic to come to the website. Without traffic you only have a website that sits in Cyber space and is dead.

Extra SEO elements you can add a website.

We only list a few important elements that should always be included in a web design tutorial for beginners. You could do a lot more to get better SEO results like optimizing the text on each page of your website; accumulate back links to add credibility to the authority of your website and much more.

Our top 5 elements that should be included in a web design tutorial for beginners are:

1. Meta tags used on each web page.

2. Keywords added in keyword tags for each page.

3. Description written in title tags for each page.

4. Title placed in title tags for each page.

5. Content written on pages with related keywords.

Dreamweaver Form Validation Using Spry – Tutorial

Hi everyone and welcome to my Dreamweaver Form Validation Tutorial, glad you could make it!!

I guess you’re here to learn so lets jump right on it.

1. Start by Creating a new HTML Document.

2. Go to the insert panel and select Form from the Drop down menu.

3. Click the Form button at the very top to insert a form tag in you Dreamweaver document. The Form tag is where you enter the settings for the whole form ex. where you want to send it and how to send the form.

4. Next lets insert a table inside the form to be able to organize the text boxes. In order to do this select “Common” from the Drop Down list in the insert panel and the click on “Table”. This opens up a Table Dialog Box.

5. Inside the Dialog enter the following and the press OK.

Rows: 4 Columns: 2 Table Width: 400 pixels Border Thickness: 0 pixels

6. In the left column on the first line enter “Name:”

8. A Input Tag dialog will appear where you can give the tag some attributes. Enter name in the ID text field and press OK.

9. Repeat the steps 6-8 in the second row of the table. Instead of “name” use “email” this time.

10. In the first column on the 3 row write “Comment:” and in the second column insert a “Spry Validation Text Area” instead of Text Filed. Give the text area the ID “comment” and press OK.

11. In the last row of the table insert a Button in one of the columns and give it the ID send.

Now, all the objects are added to the form. Lets enter some Validation settings.

12. Select the first validation field by clicking on the blue outline around the text box. The go down to the Properties panel and enter “2” inside the “Min chars”.

This tells Dreamweaver that it needs to be at least 2 characters in that text field in order to send it.

13. Select the email validation field and change the “Type” Drop down, found in the properties panel, to “E-mail”. This tells Dreamweaver that the text inserted in this form needs to have the form of an email address.

To be able to send the form in some way you need to apply some settings to the form itself. The easiest way to send a form is by using the visitors own email program to send it via there own email address. To do this follow the next steps.

14. Select the form by clicking on the red outline around the table. 15. In the properties panel select method “POST” and enter this in the action text box: “”

Of course you need to change it to your own email address.

So finally lets save the form by going in to File – Save. Dreamweaver then prompts you that it’s going to copy two files to your site folder, your only option is to click OK. These files are needed by your web browser in order to validate the form.

You can now test the form by clicking on globe right next to the Title text area in the top of your window.

The method of using “mailto:” to send the form is not the best and most secure one. On thing that is easily done to improve the safety is by encoding the mailto function or by using a PHP script to send your form. Dreamweaver Tutorials on how to do this can be found on many places on the web. Google is your Friend!
